If you’ve read my other posts on my yoga experience, you know I’m doing this to try to get through the depression of a sudden breakup. Anyone who has been through something like this completely understands. Things suck, life sucks, blah, blah, blah…..and you can’t stop it!
Instead of spending shitloads of money on a therapist, I took it upon myself to seek my own personal therapist in yoga. I was skeptical at first but as the weeks have gone by, I’ve realized that this practice has serious benefits and can help you deal with some deep problems, IF YOU LET IT!
Breakthroughs come in tiny doses and tend to float as tiny little objects above your head. It’s your job to make sure you pay attention to those objects and mentally reach out to capture them, no matter how small.
I won’t go into the details of my breakthroughs, because honestly, it’s no one’s business but mine. But the point I’m trying to make here is that there is a solution and it’s up to you to fix it. There’s no magic bullet. You yourself have to help draw out the bad and suck in the good. And HOLD IN the good!
Use whatever imaginative thoughts you need. Do you need to imagine someone physically beating those bad thoughts out of your head? Do it!
Just do whatever works for you. And trust me, it will get better.
Today is the first day in a long, long time I’ve felt better.
And you can too!
Wait, maybe the beer is helping too! After all, it is Thursday and I’m writing this at Sauced.
