Well, we made it another year.  We got through Xmas without a major problem…other than my wife’s car getting stuck in the snow storm that ripped through here on Xmas Eve.

But we easily got it unstuck yesterday and it’s safe and sound at home in it’s warm garage.

Now it’s time to start thinking about the future.  New Year’s Eve is coming up shortly.  I keep reading articles on news sites and blogs about what 2009 meant to certain topics.  Well, I’m here to say forget about that stuff and let’s look forward to 2010.

I rarely make resolutions.  Rather, I make suggestions to get me through the year.  I also rarely tell anyone my suggestions, but this year I’m going to spill them…to YOU.  Maybe some of you will hold me to task and I can actually complete some of them.

First, I’m not going to tell you that I am going to lose so much weight or set a measurable goal.  All I’m going to suggest is that I want to try to eat healthier and change bad habits.  To be honest, if I could get the type of fish I want to eat on a daily basis, I would become a pescatarian.  I just can’t go full vegetarian.

Next, I really want to try to become less of an asshole.  I enjoy my arguments and I still have my opinions.  But I really want to try to be at least a little nicer!

Third, I’m going to set a goal to write every day.  I’m not talking about writing in the blog.  I’m talking about the fiction writing I want to put together.  You have to buckle down and just do it.

I think that will probably be it for the year.  I can’t take on too much or it will become unrealistic.

Oh, one more thing.  I want to make the dogs exercise more.  Damn they’re going to hate me for that one!
